Dear friend,
Social networking websites have become one of the most popular modern-day advancements. It is truly special to be able to remain in close touch with people from all over the world via the internet.
Sadly, these websites have some tragic flaws. Among the most dangerous of these is the simple fact that people are spending less time engaged in any real-life social interaction. It saddens me to see young people in English class plugged into their MP3 players and ignoring one another. It saddens me to see working people at a bus stop on their cell phones while ignoring the human being next to them. It saddens me to see the modern-day person resorting to alcohol to build up the courage to talk to their potential spouse.
Today, all of this changes. Today, a step needs to be taken by every person to bring social interaction back into our world. A team of my close colleagues and I have tirelessly devoted ourselves into the creation of BarCardz, the world’s first truly social network. We did this for one simple reason; we have the audacity to believe BarCardz can change this world.
You see, the person on any other social network you think you are friends with could easily be a fraud. There is no way to verify the accuracy of an online individual. Online searching on social networks has led to deception, rape, and sometimes death. When you meet somebody online, you can never be sure of their real identity. On BarCardz, you will never meet anybody online. You will never search for anybody online, as a matter of fact, it is impossible to do so (we didn’t create a search feature).
What is the point of BarCardz? To promote real-life social interaction. I want those two kids in English class to speak with each other. I want the two businesspeople at the bus stop to speak with each other. I want to see the two lovebirds at the bar get married without a drop of liquid influence.
To become friends on BarCardz two people must become friends in the real world. They must meet in the real world. Our search feature has existed since the dawn of man, and we hope our users begin to use it. It is said that every long journey begins with a single step, are you ready to take one?
Godspeed,
Alex Lubyansky
Founder of BarCardz
